The split units has another concerns is that the tenants will probably loose the control remote and it won't be easy to replace them.

Getting a copy of the current lease is probably the most important thing since you'll be bound by it.

And you eliminate wheelchair bound individuals, or families.

Purchase an owner's policy on it and then if any title issues come up after that, the title co. is bound by law to remedy it or they have to pay you the full purchase price of the property.

Great for my mother & father in law, however my wife and her brother are both married now and their spouses, me included, would loose out on what was our spouses property.Her parents could be looking at this as though I am in it for the money but really we want to separate from the family and invest in another property that will a) not be managed by my mother in law and b) will be in a better market than Dewey Arizona.
