With your years of experience though, I'm sure you could get the broker's license and hang your own hat no problem.

The $50k-$75k house valuations have been the hang-up.At this point it seems like the obvious strategy is to move to higher value deals, and sell off the lower value deals to unlock the equity....but I'd like to keep them.Any suggestions or critique of our strategy would be appreciated!

Going after the low-hanging fruit is always good.

Think of it this way, Tony Robbins says (paraphrase) "If you want to up your game, hang around people who play the game better then you"

Once you get the hang of it, you can run properties through the analysis almost as quickly as the rules. 

I am going to be in town late Jan/early Feb and will set up a meet up again in case anyone is interested in hanging out and talking shop.

I am a new broker so I do not have any agents yet but I would be happy to start mentoring you if you want to hang your license with me. 

As I hang my head over the political discourse our country has come to, I also ponder the effects each candidates policies could have on the real estate market.
