Personally I'd stand put with my offer, it really sounds like in this case and with the way it played out the seller is fishing to see if he can't pull a little extra out of you.

And then, what has to happen is that you end up with more renters because they have lost their homes and can't qualify for mortgages any more so rents go up and occupancy rates go way up and you make out like a bandit.For me, my biggest fear is that the lending environment returns to its loosey goosey ways and lets everybody qualify for a home loan again.

@Terrell Atkinson in 2015 Maryland will require all properties 1978 and older to have valid lead paint certificates every tenant turnover and to be registered with Maryland Dept of Environment.
