Please be sure to select a Solo 401k plan provider which allows you to take a loan and will prepare the required 401k loan documents.The repayment terms are equal monthly/quarterly payments (as you prefer) of principal and interest (e.g. prime + 1%) spread over a 5 year term (or longer if you will use the loan to purchase your primary residence).

However, remote investing would not give me all these benefits such as selecting my preferred tenants or going to the court when needed or finding the right contractor that does decent jobs with reasonable charges etc.

But personally I don’t want to live there ( I haven’t seen much of the area but I would prefer to live In medfod, Malden, Somerville, Newton,Brighton area) I know that the properties in Lowell are much cheaper compared to the places where I prefer to live.
