@Jim Cellini if your home was worth double the market value on the assessor's web site, it just means that your taxes are very likely to go up next year.

So far it’s not entirely complicated, but there are definitely gaps in my understanding and it’s difficult to get the proper info from just web searching.I work a Full time (60 hours a week) job, but believe that I can still put in the proper due diligence and make good investments.

@Vijendar Na you should do it. i just wrote a whole article on this. look up my articles on the biggerpockets blog. it is the second to last one i did. i would definitely recommend a multifamily if possible. i have had great success with my student rental.
