@Shiloh LundahlFor me, the worst is my own refusal to read a book about real estate investing.Second is the opening sentence to this reply.Third is a tie between syndication investors describing their experience in number of doors and gurus selling tickets to seminars to talk about not working for money and make money work for you.

makes lambo seem like buying  a VW  LOL.. its nice to go 200 MPH and not have to worry about tickets just have to watch out for those rocks sticking up out of the earth.

We closed the business and were literally sent back to square one.After 5 long years of rebuilding ourselves, we are finally at a point where we feel we can begin to get back into real estate investing, as we both still believe that investing in real estate is our ticket to early retirement from the rat race and have a nest egg large enough to outlast us by many years.This time around, we plan to focus purely on buy-and-hold rental properties (long-term and vacation rentals).

My DTI is good, but even though I’m also in California and even if I’m sure there’s deals everywhere, I also feel like the entry ticket to start is a bit too high and I’d rather move and start in another state to get acquainted and feel more confident than investing here and be overwhelmed and scared.
