What happens if I don't get enough out of it to justify a down payment, couch surf?!

OK, so brand new to actually posting and not just surfing the forums to follow up on the podcast...

I don’t have a clue.I’ve spent the last few years just surfing the Forums on Bigger Pockets, when I had time.

It means more kids in the lineup with the surf is good.

Some would rather go surfing every day.

I have a surfing buddy who lives on a bluff on the southern California coast in a house he inherited from his grandparents who bought that house in the 1950's.   

I mean vanity, such as owning a Mercedes vs a Kia.If the building has a lot of trust funders who just surf and eat burritos for a living, that's a different decision (monetarily) than working professionals who may want vanity changes.As far as value after a change, it might be best to talk to a few (successful-long term) local brokers who work that neighborhood.If it were my home (or second home condo), I'd probably talk to an Architect about changes, maybe doing a reface similar to the photo below (because street view shows the units to have a nice ocean view (unless it was just a crash-pad for surfer types quadrupled up in the units).That way there would be a third option (vanity) vs. just trying to add value to the building.Good Luck!

Used it to surf around the net while at my new property, then tried to set up the cameras.

Outside of my day job and new found interest in REI, my hobbies include powerbuilding (bodybuilding/powerlifting), culinary arts, storm chasing, being on the water (wakeboarding - learning to wake surf this summer), and of course spending time with my German Shepherd, Quasar.
