I don't know for a fact.. but I do know when I used to chase NOD's  most folks that had an NOD had 100 to 150 letters in a few months.. odds are slim.. so you need huge amount of potential deals. in some markets Yes in Others waste of time and resources

The deal may become to slim. 

And, if you bought a home 10 years ago, the likelihood of it being the exact same process 10 years later is slim.

Property taxes and insurance are already high in San Antonio and then adding in HOAs might make your margins slim depending on how much you are paying for the condo and renting it for.

I know pickings are very slim in Atlanta

It seems like the opportunities are slim until you hit the 3M purchase price though. 

With slim profit margins you really have to be accurate in estimating what the costs would be to flip it or rent it out, etc.  

The chances of them selling you one note are slim to none.

I'm assuming they have very slim margins and thats why they do that.
