In 1938, the Austrian chancellor called for a plebiscite, was forced to resign, and his unlawful successful called in German troops who quickly occupied the country.Not only does every history book I've ever read support this sequence of events, but the existence of the Moscow Declaration from 1943 pretty much makes these facts unarguable.
