It does serve as a commercial hub for Newton and Jasper counties, but not sure that any home grown industries really took off there.

We have a local BP meetup in Rockville/Gaithersburg, but that's probably not any closer than the Hub City Reia in Hagerstown.

We are now hiring quickly with an operations hub in Dallas responsible for setting jobs scopes and paying subcontractors.

We walked thru that day, did our inspection (hubs is a builder so we do our own) and submitted a full price offer through the listing agent with NO contingencies.

So if you have a community that has easier transportation to town or business hubs (Cranberry, SouthPointe, Moon, etc.) then you have a higher livable rate even if the traditional mill or mining jobs have dried up.

I've seen one of my clients (a start-up hub) turn the vault into a conference room while I've seen another use the vault for storage.

Hubs had known this guy since elementary school.

You have other demographics flocking to hubs with greater economic expansion.You might even find that some areas have recently experienced a fallout or are still on the comeback trail from the last major recession. 

It does use Z wave protocol for connection to the hub, in my case a Wink 2 for monitoring remotely and to update the codes from anywhere etc.
