There are a ton of early morning joggers w/ dogs near the lake at S Park Blvd and there is a plaza that's not bad. 

My trip to Montana next week is facing the same thing I had to rent a little house there and of course would you not know it but snow in the forecast and so being on the lake is going to be freezing $ss .

Are there other neighborhoods in Indiana that I can do some research on that is within one hour driving from say Joliet, IL, other than Crown Point and Cedar Lake? 

What's interesting is there are significant ties to South Lake Tahoe and those individuals renting down there (who work in South Lake) are usually a lot younger.
