Here's why I waited:Visa Uncertainty: With a temporary visa like an F1 CPT or even an H1B, there’s always a chance that, due to lottery outcomes or policy changes, the path to a green card could be delayed or not happen at all.

I agree with @Jonathan Greene here that the first step is thinking through what to do with the primary residence - you might try this tool that I built a few months ago to analyze whether you should keep or sell the primary residence!

Quote from @Jonathan Greene: You won't be able to get the renters' names, but you can look up the unit numbers by putting in the main address into the tax records and it will show all the apartment numbers at that address.
