I went to my first and only local REIA meeting about 4 months ago and my experience was similar.The presentation that night wasn't salesy, just boring, but the people there were mostly complete beginners mixed with some sharks and bored real estate agents.

It generates a Report based on a lot of the above Calculations, but I would have done it slightly differently.I would say 90% of the BP community will just not understand a report like that but yet it's really the kind of Report that helps you understand EVERY MARKET.I don't have time to teach again, so I use BP's forum try to explain to both beginners and experienced Investors that you shouldn't pass up on probably the best knowledge you can gain in your Investment Life.Investor Llew

I'm literally at beginner stage when it comes to buying or owning a house.I was under the impression that I call the seller, I go see the house, I pay cash, I get ownership, then I get a contractor along with whatever permits, inspections, etc needed to build.

Especially if I want to close on a deal, I feel I dont have the time or ability to walk through a whole plan and pricing with a construction consultant to give me accurate numbers simply from an mls posting how does a beginner like me know:if the contractor is doing a good job?
