Am I a happier landlord anyway? 

That's me though I am told  I a bit noise sensitive- must be  due to growing up in close proximity to  the NJ turnpike. 

I just believe that I as a landlord have a responsibility to my tenants to do the right thing.

It is a measure of a individuals level of social responsibility and that is what I, as a landlord, evaluate.  

In Iowa we can't collect more than three times rent.

If I as a landlord charge a Fair security deposit and have to itemize and return the remaining funds to the tenant, Why can a HOA or COA charge an Unregulated fee amount and Not have to itemize actual expenses and return the remaining funds?

I feel that this move is going to in the future give my family and I a better future and more freedom.Ill be more than happy to answer any questions that will provide better answers to my questionThanks guys and gals.

Good hunting Thanks Jerry, most of my properties are in Iowa only the sub division is here.  

I am also saying I, as a debtor's attorney, would pursue a stay violation against a landlord who initiated a criminal matter after the case has been filed.

I know the rules vary by state, but I've not been able to find anything specifically about this for Iowa.
