Like a self-fulfilling prophesy  The fact that it gave you a hinky feeling goes to show that it's not something you'd be comfortable with, so that's a good indicator that your tenants wouldn't love it either.You just can't treat people badly, and then expect them to be a long-term ATM machine that spits out rent every month forever.But, of course, your PM probably makes money every time the place turns over, so they don't care if they are irritating the tenants and having to get a new tenant every year, because none of the tenants want to stay after their lease is up.

I've had the carpets cleaned twice, replaced the washing machine, rewired the dryer, replaced light fixtures, hired pest control services, replaced blinds, realigned door frames, and had multiple calls out to plumbers (some of them frivolous).

I know many "Bush pilots," I have taken 260 mile boat trips, 300 mile snow machine trips, camped on the Yukon River at -30 below zero, goose hunted from a SNOWMOBILE in may with no snow on the ground, cought 50LB king salmon in a net, excess of 50 whitefish in a net at one time and caught  6lb trout on rod and reel.

I've never had a potential tenant complain when a unit didn't have them, but when units have had them, there are PLENTY of complaints where there are issues, and tenants are usually pretty hard on those machines, problems are inevitable.
