Newbies need to be aware of the grapevine in RE, you usually don't do anything under a contract that will be secret.

There aren’t many secrets in the real estate game.

Saying you're an investor isn't some secret code word where people just go "ohhh I didn't know.

I wish I had some "insider secret" to tell them to help them tap some hidden source of deals, but the fact remains that it is a tough market right now.I'm in a private mastermind group with people who many of you might know - well known podcasters and personalities on this site.  

Not trying to be secretive, but I got in trouble for advertising and am not sure where line resides now.  

I'm not 100% on that program exactly, but one thing I do know, I could have gained every ounce of information I received from my 70k degree if I were diligent online.Programs like this tend to spout a "secret method" or trick to make you money.

If the background check were like that required for a top secret security clearence, that might help as well.
