Find the right attorney to help set up your LLC (and if you're wise, multiple layer LLC) - the best money you can lay out is setting up your amount of risk up front BEFORE you purchase. 

My feeling is that I want to place as many layers between my personal assets and a potential lawsuit, so I opt for the LLC route.

You would already have a very good asset protection structure with the LLCs.For estate planning however the trust is a useful tool and would be the owner of your holding LLC.You can also add an offshore layer with a Nevis or Belize LLC.

I'm hoping to cut down on the learning curve without diving into a whole new topic from scratch and try and peel back the layers of the onion individually, but rather to converge knowledge pools. 

Our business today, we have more or less full control by establishing partnerships with third party individuals that check up on our investments and companies we hire, as well as having multiple teams or "layers" in each market.

Everyone comes on here to take take take and some will mask their true intentions to try to manipulate people for their own needs.If anyone is stupid enough to just hand over hundreds of thousands of dollar to some random guy on bigger pockets, then they deserve to lose their money.
