They’re asking that I designate a project manager who would be able to visit the site regularly, but is not the GC.

We really stretched ourselves thin. we did not perform our own inspections because we were busy raising finances .. and our agent insisted we use the same company who did the initial inspections to “get a report in our name” .. we went for visual inspection with our agent and found the master bathtub was  upside down — they said there was a chip and seller was fixing the tub.

That is our approach with our students.

We plan to invest in real estate and use rental income as our business’s income stream. 

Also, I would plan to self manage and from looking on their site I believe if you reside more than 20 miles away you need to have a representative who is local.  

I was thinking of possibly just doing a camp site set up of some kind.

Stay involved in the renovation process with regular site visits and open communication with contractors to keep close tabs on the project.

I would love to but with having a family my wife is not into the idea of leaving our nice home to move into a multi unit.

I've gotten the current infill lots by word of mouth, wholesalers, and people coming up to the build site asking if we'd like to buy their lots.
