And if you were in Atlanta and the work was done previously, it would be considered 'grandfathered' and accepted.So, check with your local building office when they consider something grandfathered.

Once you file that I believe you have to wait another 2 or 3 days to schedule the court officer out to do the actual eviction - of course if the tenant is still thre at this point....hopw this helps!

In addition, code enforcement in most areas doesn't go on patrol looking for these sorts of things; they respond to complaints reported by the neighbors (or maybe the code enforcement official or another gov't worker lives on that block :D ).

Get the lien release at final payment from ALL contractors and ALL subs.Also, it is YOUR responsibility to make sure these contractors and subs are licensed (meaning you need to check with your state licensing board to make sure they are active and current) as well as insured (ask for their insurance evidence, including workers comp.I only pay progress and I personally like to buy materials myself and avoid the mark-ups.
