I'm trying to not use my own money but I also don't have any friends or family who would want to participate in financing.

Large banks don't really participate in this - it is more of a local bank or credit union scenario.

On the other hand distributions from Roth 401k plans are not subject to federal taxes provided the participant is age 59 1/2 and has had the Roth 401k for at least 5 years.

I find a great value participating in meetups on a regular basis, and have been doing it since the very beginning.
