For example, they saved me up to 40-60% on cabinets from Studio 41 because of the work they do with the GC.

It is in the "path of progress" and has great architecture with a bit of a hipster vibe with restaurants,  coffee shops, breweries, art studios, etc opening up.

there are TONS of threads on the best way to soundproof on here and the Audio Video forums. the best stuff is Roxul from home depot.here's the short story..1. spray foam or roxul2. de-coupling channels on the studs, then attach soundproof drywall3. another layer of drywall installed with de-coupling adhesivethis is expensive and time consuming. but it works wonders.

The studio is not a dwelling, so she was able to get an OTC permit in Oakland. 

Hi Warren, I also have a rancher with a studio apartment with its own entrance.

In the future, I foresee co-living becoming more mainstream and integrated into large apartment complexes with 100+ units - half of them co-living and the other half traditional studios or 1-bedrooms.
