I have no sympathy for those who dont make it because real estate has so much room for creativity and outside the box thinking.

As Account Closed said, don't expect sympathy for those of us who have always paid our fair share. 

That said, I used to say this lightly but now my concerns and sympathies are people and towns who saw a sudden spurt in incomes thanks to New Yorkers moving in.

I was shocked as I expected some kind of sympathy act.  

I have a deep sympathy for all those affected by the virus as well as everyone indirectly.

My mother recently passed and I can tell you that the many, many letters I received from investors have all been extremely irritating.But, in your case, as it's been a few years, at least it won't be like the others who wrote letters supposedly of sympathy before she was even cold in her grave, then wanting me to sell her property to them for far less than it's value.Knowing what these people have dealt with regarding the above and possibly a lengthy probate, etc., should be helpful.

I wanted to add my sympathy to the OP plight.

I do not have a very commanding presence, and while I talk sternly to tenants if required, I feel like I have no leverage in this situation because the tenants will keep ignoring me unless I "do" something, not just talk.Making matters worse is the fact that they are dirt poor, and my sympathy meter kicks in.
