But my overall investment strategy and Risk/Reward needle is leaning negative for the overall economy. 

And the death-song has been the moment any accountability crops up for such a consumerism, the laser focus of protecting the consumer economy means blame Blame BLAME someone, something ANYTHING else for the falter because we "need" the consumerism...... 

What would you tell the rental car company if the AC on your car does not work and they tell you it's a luxury item, but you rented an economy car.

Cleveland is great if you only want cash flow and aren't as focused on other factors such as population growth/decline and economy trends. 

Far fewer disruption to my life, and possibly a little cheaper via economies of scale and lower costs due to not having to move furniture out of the way with every step... so many ways to skin a cat, and they a will work.. just need to decide what works best for me an my situation I guess. 

I also like multifamily as a great way to invest and love the economy of scale MF has over single.

What are everyone's thoughts on this scenario as well as the economy as a whole?

I would recommend researching the economic growth and landlord laws of each area.Texas has great landlord/tenant laws and one of the fastest growing economies in the world that's currently the 8th largest economy in the world.
