One of the foremost PHX RE experts is calling that there will be a chronic shortage of housing.

We have a very high majority of renters and we have a severe house shortage, Geneva population has a growth of 8% for the last 5 years with only a 3% growth of the houses number, it's a political issue since most construction projet in Switzerland are approved in 2-3 month when in Geneva it's 2-3 years....

So yes I'd definitely keep lookin :)No shortage of cheap mobiles in So Cal, but they come with high space rents and/or bad areas.  

If you bought the home today and needed to sell it a year or two later, you'd have a home that will have depreciated along with a shortage of available buyers due to limited financing options.

Forgot to mention we spent 3 hours driving to two distantly located distributors for parts because of shortages.

The numbers are stacking up and there is a major shortage of rentals, with double digit returns.Downside is I live in the UK but the returns in the USA are just too tempting but I will have to come over and be the project manager, I had nightmares on my first project in Siesta Key when I left the contractor to his own devices, so that will be my only choice

If that price will create shortage to pay off the loan, perhaps seek approval to short the lender.
