While people will share a bathroom in say a 2/1 it is likely a harder sell in a 5/2 and the price you command is less.

County has assessed for 200k but would be worth more due to the area they are building homes left and right on that road and they are selling 300k+ and up.

And IMHO, the prices are dropping big time (on avg. 10K/month...houses that were above 300K a year ago are not selling at 250K now) and the available rentals saturation is worse than I seen during summer season (with rents dropping from 1$-1.08/sqft to 0.8$/sqft and very little contacts and applications...just go in Zillow and look how many rentals are on the market now in Kyle, New Braunfels or Converse).

If you were able to build equity over time, it could be smart to sell, pay off your loan, and use the money for another venture (flip, investments, etc) if it is truly bleeding you out.
