Nope never had a BK nor foreclosure/repo nor any ongoing delinquent accounts since they're now all settled, so I'll just let those negative entries get so old enough they no longer count much against my creditworthiness and while I won't 'borrow' to build my credit I'll still entertain getting a cell phone contract (right now i'm on prepaid).To me, assets/net worth is more important than credit.

Should I do that and then maybe require larger deposit or additional pre-paid rents?

I keep my cash reserves in prepaid cards with savings account option.

Points, or any fee charged that are required to obtain a loan is pre-paid interest, that will be computed into any usury rate.

I got a trec contract, signed up for a month of legalshield prepaid legal.  

the lease agreement i use clearly stipulates what amount is deposit vs prepaid rent.
