The reason being is that a lot of land simply wasn't usable for farming / ranching so during the westward expansion of the united states this land went unclaimed by settlers because nobody wanted it.

Its all a calculated risk and understanding what you can and can't get away with in your own farm area.Lastly as for selling I did actually receive a few offers but unfortunately none of them ever panned out.

I was first introduced to real estate at about 7 or 8 years old mid 60s when my dad worked for a land sales company that was selling lots out by Loch Lomond reservoir and the office was at the Trout Farm inn :) those are probably still legal lots of record but probably not buildable . you could sell those back in those days.. but the redwood trees on them are probably more valuable than the lots.

If you can't find their data base online then you call the Title Company ask for the Business Manager and ask the Business Manager what Lead or Farming Systems do they use.

recently purchased a 4plex in HB, Ca.We are on state farm insurance and everything is fine, decided to shop around and noticed that USAA is lower with similar level/amounts.USAA however required that all tenants i forget the exact phrasing but something like "tenants for at least 6months"Now i said that my tenants have been there for over 10 years, and are technically on month to month now.
