I've had to deal with most of these issues concerning both my own multiple retirement accounts.Since subtle, nuances can make big differences in interpretation, I've only felt satisfied by getting my pension guys, my two CPA's and my bookkeeper on a conference call to get the straight skinny.

The point being title searching is not 100% science and absolutes, there is some interpretation, some conclusions that different people will reach different conclusions.AND in 900+ deals that I've done for myself and the many more that I've done with clients, there has only been 1 time that a title insurance claim was paid!

Your commute to work is not deductible, IRS has interpreted this in your type business to mean you first trip to the job sit, or "business activity" and trip home is not deductsble.
