Taking legal action against another party necessarily involves questions of law and can result detrimental legal impacts on him if he files a lawsuit without proper grounds to do so, or where the opposing party may have counter-claims against him.

I did contact the LeadSafe incentive folks and verified that my property was eligible for the incentive, so I am grateful for that, but this is a good reminder to verify everything one comes across in this business.

You really need boots on the ground here I feel. 

I’d recommend reviewing your lease terms and following what’s outlined there to ensure you're on solid legal ground.
