A major Coast Guard base is being stood up in N chs on the river, the port facility is booming and expanding rapidly, and N Chs offers some of the only reasonably priced developable RE with short commuting distance of the peninsula, Mount P, and the beaches.

I plan on doing long distance investing since I’ll be deploying to Japan soon! 

If I self manage(which was what I was planning) it could turn out a big headache) there are a lot of condos for sale which is a bit alarming as well.I would be self managing from California so that’s long distance management and may consist of many flights taking care of any necessities.Why can’t this be an easier decision lol good luck!

When we did our last PCS, we purchased a property long distance using the VA Loan.

Knowing a market and being within a reasonable distance just seems to make sense especially if you are either working solo or with a small newly formed team.

He probably did not bother to measure the distance, because he was already within 30 miles. 

I’m going to be the big dissenter here but if you can find something in Northern CA within driving distance it puts you at an advantage.
