This is what active renters look at too which is why I believe it tells a better story of what rents are currently at compared to other sources. 

Zillow is still a great source.

That was the biggest motivation to post it, and this was the most recent story I could recall.

Selling half your stock portfolio does not relate to 99% of the people on here that don't have the ability to tap into equities or divest from another source to create the vehicle needed to invest.

@Chirdeep BhutaniFrom various sources, values peaked in 2022, and have gone down about 20%.

There are situations that they can source better value products from larger suppliers such as HVAC units or plumbing supplies, and we are ok with that.

My biggest fear is that if I ever were to quit my job, I would no longer be able to invest in more real estate (not sure if I would qualify for loans as easily). 

I also have specifically looked into buying property as a non-resident foreigner in Spain and every source said that they would require a 40% down payment. 

If you are having trouble sourcing either over a years-long period I agree selling makes the most sense.
