Hi everyoneFor those keen on Detroit, though I would list some of the reasons why I am targeting Detroit Bankruptcy really helped city start overSince the current mayor (Michael Duggan) was elected, Detroit has had a major turnaroundDemolished 3-5,000 houses per yearThe city has attracted lots of new businesses downtownPurchased $20 billion of real estate2016, 100,000 new jobs createdPistons basketball team brought downtownLast few markets in the country where you can still buy inexpensive real estate$40-50,000 properties renting for $850Nowhere near the peakIn suburbs of Detroit, home values are back to where they were in 2005-2006Can still get homes at $70,000 that will appraise at $100,000The city of Detroit has targeted 15-20 different parts of the city where they want to go in and clean-up and improve property values.

I will say that I was a preferred walk-on for the basketball team, so that helped me ignore the tuition cost, but stupid is still stupid.

Bryan is right though when you go to these events there might be ONE pitching real estate the rest are pitching some business lots of software .. gamer stuff whole variety of things other than real estate.. these folks are looking to be the next ground floor investors in Google or FAcebook.not generally interested in a real estate deal since real estate frankly is not that complicated and they can do them themselves.
