Keep in mind that Chinese own a lot of dollars and treasuries after helping bail us out in 2008-2009 crisis and many projects whether they are infrastructure in Africa, Silk Road in Asia, or Investments by citizens in other countries are ALWAYS done in dollars.

But Larry Kudlow says we might have low interest rates for the next 25 years and the Fed can print more money than ever makes sense and we kick the can down the road and being that the US Treasury is the worlds safe haven the rest of the world will keep putting funds into our mess and drive yields down and mess up bonds and keep things inflated indefinitely until it blows, if it does.

The chapter and verse citation is Treasury Regs. §1.1031(k)-1(c)(1) (last sentence) (property that is acquired before the end of the exchange period is deemed to be identified).Just to make sure that I had not lost my mind during the night, I quickly reached out to verify this with our two outside tax attorneys and both agreed.

Doesn't always directly reflect to the 15/30 yr fixed mortgages though since that's based on the 10/30 treasury yields and demand of new mortgages/refinances etc.
