As people who engage in crime (and not ones with the caveats you so mention), particularly those addicted to the darker side of life (which really is to say – death), they have only shown as documented by our justice system and by the degree of their mischievous behavior they are people who, in the best of lights and save all genuine redemption, are a proven concern.What Oakland has done here is to take away a valid and sensible means for law-abiding people to insulate themselves from those with a history of making decisions of harming others.

So I see every one asking what to write on a yellow letter so I won't.Howevr I will ask a question about it coming from the other end.Every guru, swears by it and recommends it,  write I want to$ BUY $your house.....Me personally I find this cheese and not genuine.

I will guide and give advice to friends and family who know what I do but beyond that unless there’s something in it for me, it’s just not worth the time to genuinely invest into you without some form of reciprocation - which for me is money.  

Following your lunch/ coffee/ beer with them write a thank you note, no gift card included just a genuine thank you.

Should be pretty transformative. 

I won’t say everyone at that meet up was a saint, there were a few folks doing and saying some things that I wouldn’t, but the vast majority were real genuine people with straightforward intentions and a ton of generosity.

What a transformation! 

The contstant turnover/cleaning thats required is somewhat of a hassle but we've never had a bad experience and I genuinely enjoy meeting and interacting with our guests.  

The reason why I mentioned all these things and why this is a good lesson...is the importance of being genuinely interested in people and listening to them.
