And only on their end.They would come to me and complain that so and so parks all crooked, or so and so has loud sex that wakes them up and I need to make them stop it, or they wanted permission to have a washer/dryer even if they weren't allowed because of the old plumbing system, or they wanted to let their relatives park in our parking lot and take the shuttle to the airport and leave their car in our lot while they went on vacation.It's just guaranteed that they will expect and ask for favors, that they would never expect or ask for - if the relationship was never ever perceived as a "friend" relationship.

What I did - and I had M2M contracts, too, was give my original tenant written permission to have a long-term guest.

Me: No.Caller: I'm the plumber who helped your tenant at your house next door to the one you're now renting.Me:  Oh yes (Kevin is the so-called "plumber" my non-paying tenant talked into digging up her sewer line in the pouring rain...without my permission...when they clogged it a month before they left without paying me my last months rent back in November.

I read through our lease again and tenants are required to get permission/authorization to install items like this which tenants didn't; and there is a sentence in our lease that we are not liable for any issues with these additions.
