The most efficient way to do it would be to put a new panel right next to the old one and just separate all the circuits that are purely for one unit or the other. 

But they have expressed that the idea of selling it and "riding off into the sunset" would be a pure bliss scenario for them.

(although there is also some risk in keeping money in banks too) Additionally, there have also been a select few projects that are purely focused on creating an honest and secure functioning digital economy.
