Helical piers won't work. some kind of spread footing with pier to bed rock might work but I do not believe it's feasible, it's something we use for bridges.

I had to sup it up and weld the doors shut because bridges keep going out around here. 

Rather than just leaving, I could develop a relationship and at least have her know that I was willing to hear her side and it builds a bridge for next time if I decide to let it go this time.
