Cottage grove has lots of blue collar industry, Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing (3M) has a plant there so you will probably always have renters.http://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/plant-locations-us/cottagegrove/

I'm an investor in Lakeland area to Brandon area as I live in the middle in Plant City.  

There are also several major energy companies building new power plants in the area, bringing 100s of new construction jobs, and 100-200 permanent jobs. 

I think the inflation we're experiencing in this market is actually because of the anticipated growth of the industrial sector in Mobile with the new Airbus manufacturing plant, and consequently an expected growth in the residential and commercial demand on the Eastern shore of Mobile bay in combination with the national real estate trend to higher prices.

They are the people you see working on the large steel erections at a petrochemical refinery and associated nitrogen fertilizer plant.

And I mean high high probability as in they're building a new Hewlett-Packard plant or a University nearby in the near future.

I'm next door in Plant City but focus my investing in Polk county.

It seems in Atlanta a common theme is to dump tires,trash at these vacant apartment buildings than to take to the dump and pay the fees.In one instance there are about 10,000 tires dumped illegally.I have been told with that many you might can call a tire plant processing center and they will pick up and melt the tires down for you for free.Just wondering if anyone else ran across this.I know to dispose of tires yourself is about 3 dollars per tire at the dump but with this many I think the plant will pick up for free.
