The only real obstacle is if there is an exclusive listing agreement in place...agents (besides being idiots in general) are territorial.

In my opinion they should be B....especially speedway......those little towns are just in a pocket between a C and a high B area........speedway has great schools.....speedway is pretty safe with the exception of a couple apartment complexes......I'm from haughville born and raised......and speedway is between haughville and the rest of Wayne township.......speedway is very exclusive....they check ID just to use their library lol......their police force is patrolling heavily.....the indy 500 had so much money tied up in speedway......they wouldn't let it slip to a C......they would lose hella money.....just my opinion

@Isaiah WilliamsIt sounds like you are house-hacking your property.You want to consult with an accountant to determine if you would lose the section 121 exclusion since you will no longer be the owner of the portion of the property that is your personal residence.

I did exactly what you're thinking of - Bought it, fixed it, Used it for productive use for a while (it ended up being the set of a major motion picture) and then moved into it and sold later when it qualified for the primary residence exclusion.
