That would  be a risk I would never be willing to take.Trying to build a business that would sustain your family so that you can quit the 9-5 is not a get-rich-quick scheme. 

To piggy-back off @Tim Macy, not only do I expect to see a slowing in growth, I am hoping ii is a sustained slow-growth market in these areas.

Unless you have some terrible insurance company they will not pay you the bare minimum, rather they are going to indemnify you for the loss you sustained.  

Wholesaling is not investing...and it's not a sustainable business...not to mention it's extremely complicated and demanding...starting as a wholesaler is backwards and contributes to the generally bad reputation that wholesalers project on the REI industry...simply because they don't understand market values, rehab costs, etc. 

I found some of his strategies on sustaining those relationships very profound.

I worked for a wholesaling company for a short period of time but found out fast how much savings you need to sustain the period of time before making that first deal.

Currently I own a 1 unit condominium rental property and would like to multiply the success with that unit to build income on my road to self sustainability.

Many, many contractors go out of business because they can't price high enough to sustain a business.The important thing to remember is that, in most cases, the market dictates both cost and price... it's not that different from selling a house - you can only sell for what the market will bear.
