Because your percentage of income to cost to own and maintain a home are near all time highs and is not sustainable.

I think these people trying to mass sponsor don't realize much of the long term revenue is heavily regulated to be sure its sustainable. 

I am a bit crazy when it comes to thinking about what I want my ideal lift to look like, then figuring out how to get there in the fastest, and most sustainable way while maintaining as much control as possible.

Lots of smaller, older home were likely to be torn down in big cities so buyers can build larger infills.With Trudeau and his government allowing 5 million+ immigrants in over the last 5-7 years (which is not sustainable), our population has grown too quickly and it has created problems. 

One thing that you mentioned in your post that resonated with me is "any out of the ordinary methods".  

I may want one of them to borrow money or have some other need where it would be useful to have them appear independent, self-sustaining business entities.  

Also not having a walmart or lowes in town is kind of a pain when setting it up or needing things quickly, but guests really seem to love the more remote setting so it's a give and take.Similar to Hurricane I'm not sure how sustainable the current occupancy rates are once the post-covid boom settles down, but we went live in March and have been booked pretty much solid ever since.

@NA V.Though your concerns about energy prices are certainly valid, I would argue the damage of sustained low oil prices has been absorbed at this point.
