In my personal opinion just focus on bringing in as much income as you can and always pay off your cards on time and depending on the credit cards they will give you a big credit increase once you prove your reliability.

If you can find a reliable methodology it will make life much easier.You can determine local utility bill history by calling the utility company, providing the address, and ask what it has been averaging.
