Things like ductwork (for HVAC supplies and returns), and plumbing (water supply and waste pipes as well as vent stack pipes, and then there could also be radiator pipes) - just for a few examples.So, you should determine which of these might be there before poking a big hole in the wall (like they do on the TV flipping shows).

I think they originally owned a tv repair shop, later got into computers and networking, and off and on were in the car business.

Most parts of the country have a few strong regional carriers that provide more competitive rates and broader coverage that the carriers you see on TV every other commercial.

She is obsessed with "fix and flip" reality TV and I'll admit it's entertaining to watch sometimes. 

It's not like buying a TV that breaks so I call customer service who says "oops you got a defective one, we'll send you a new one".

Here on the West Coast, we have many TV programs soliciting "Here's how ..." stuff. 

Those flip margins on TV are best case scenario and do not show commission costs for resale, seller concessions paying buyer closing costs, failed deals that re-trade lower after the shows, and higher dealer taxes on flipping.     

They also say no one wants to see a TV in the living room...true??
