I was born in Duarte, grew up living in Santa Fe Springs, Whittier, South San Gabriel, West Covina, and then Long Beach.My grandmother bought a 2/1 bath in Santa Fe Springs back in 1979 for $73,000 that she rented to my Mom, then later sold.When I left California, I was living in a mother in law house rented at $85/month off of 9th & Orange in Long Beach (it was a deal then, even if there were gunshots going off in the alley behind the house).When I moved to Denver in 1992 (after working as Hunting Department Manager at the now closed Turner's Outdoorsman that was on Hawthorne and 164th during the L.A.

We still have both hospitals which employ a ton of people as well as Bradley University and the medical / nursing students so I think rental market is still good.I buy distressed properties and put in sweat equity to bring them up to par.
