-There is a vent just above the stove, on the wall left of the stove (you can't see it in the picture) which I believe is supposed to be for exhaust from the stove, but it does not have a fan in it.

In the long term we do want to move into this house when we move back to CA in 3 years, so this is more than an investment, it will be our home down the road, but needs to make sense as a rental first.So all of that said, besides a little number crunching we don't know anything about having a home built.

Conroe is also very close in proximity and much cheaper than an area called The Woodlands that many companies are relocating offices to...while also still being close enough to Houston that you could commute from there.
