Plumbers, electricians, HVAC all have their own licensing requirements and so do not also need MHIC licenses.Oh, and if you are a home builder here in MD, there's another requirement altogether... one must have a Maryland Home Builder Registration number.So if I want to be licensed to do a commercial fit out, build a house or finish a basement of an existing house, I have to carry three different license registrations.  

This reminds me of the time I needed an electrician to secure a panel to the basement wall because it wasn't attached right.
