I wonder why it has such a bad rap...I can definitely see situations where people buy AirBnb properties that are not quite what vacationers are looking for, or decorated poorly, pictures not taken well, etc.

I think having properties that can be converted to a long term rental if need be would help during a recession or choosing a place where there will be vacationers regardless of a recession would also be beneficial.

The house is irrelevant by the way, it's all about your location and Penobscot bay values are increasing (look at values in just the last 10-15 years) as our vacationers expand up from Casco Bay (Portland).
