But he also has the right to contest/protest the contract including delay your sale through liens, and there’s nothing you could do about it nor pass on your losses of the sell delay to him.

What direction would you come from in your Protest?

I ran into this as a property I just bought was 2m on the tax roll for 2016 but you could see that 2017 was $2.4m (but being protested).  

I prefer it - there are certain advantages to me when it comes to the property tax protest season when it is an assignment. 

Protesting that market rates are too high is like protesting the price of beef, milk, gas, or tickets to a Barbara Streisland concert.
