One thing to be VERY wary of on the Oregon coast is that there is a very active lobbyist group that is trying to get STRs shut down.

The same eggs are used at 5 star restaurants as at fast food restaurants.

The water department told me that they never really shut down the water unless the amount is huge ( like 10 times what I have past due) but either way i dont want to pay. 

I tried mid term rentals when I shut down my STR, and I found that the rates were very close to long term rates.

With community opposition you can operate within the confines of the prevailing laws, and so long as you play by those rules they legally cannot shut you down.

I do like el corticito as there are many restaurants and groceries in walking distance so perhaps that can work.
