As of this morning July 2nd 2024, a full 2 weeks after writing their current investors that they are suspending interest payments, they are still seeking new investors for investments but do not inform the new potential investors that they have suspended interest payments.

I would check as best you can before you even contract, but also for sure once you do contract and have the documents in hand.While there are some places for $150,000, there should be relatively few of those any more, certainly in buildings that have long term potential.

I paid about $1500 in closing costs between title, appraisal, etc, but the original loan was wiped out in favor of a new lower rate.

VA loans are the only loans that allow this, and there is no rate penalty for it no longer being your primary home.With that in mind, you could do a cash out refinance today at a higher rate than current market rates which will create profit on the loan, we can take that profit to pay for your closing costs.
